Maybelline Color Tattoo – On and On Bronze

An Eye Makeup Look in a Pot

These Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadows are not new, but I have been loving and using the shade On and On Bronze (this is the UK name, in the US it is called Bad to the Bronze) as my go to eyeshadow product this year.

If there is only one colour you get, make it this one, as it is versatile and suits a number of different makeup looks. I’ve used it with a red lip, a hot pink lip, a nude lip, a plum lip – anything goes.

Great for Hooded Eyes

A lot of people use this as a base colour and use other colours in the crease to add shape and definition, but I really cannot be bothered. With hooded eyes, I always feel there’s not much point doing a ton of work on the eyes, so I just go in and apply this one shade all over the eyelid, along the crease area and right up as close to the brows as I dare. And it looks all golden and lovely!

Use an Eyeshadow Primer for Extra Lasting Power

I do tend to find that if I want this cream eyeshadow to hold up through the workday and last until well into the night, I do need a primer. Otherwise it will start creasing by the afternoon. I never really thought my eyelids were that oily but I suppose they must be!

So I use my beloved NARS Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base and then I can be sure that the eyeshadow will stay put until it is time to remove it.

Application

As far as application goes, I use my fingers to apply the product over the eyelid, and an angled eyeshadow brush if I decide to take the product underneath the eyes.

I will sometimes add liquid liner on the top, and a wing if I’m feeling like I want a bit of drama but normally with just the On and On Bronze, giving the eyelashes a good curl and applying some mascara  to the lashes and kohl on the the waterline I’m good to go for most low-key occasions.

I love makeup and all things beauty, but these days a girl’s gotta hustle and ain’t nobody got time to be spending hours on makeup. (Or maybe I’m just extra slow, who knows.)

Well, that’s my lazy girl eye makeup hack.

I would love to hear how you create a fuss-free simple eye look for work, coffee with friends, or casual dates. Let me know in the comments below!

Have a beautiful day penguins!
