Soap & Glory – A Love Affair
Hello Beauty Addicts,
I hope you are all having the most beautiful day!
Today I’m going to talk about a brand that is dear to my heart for mainly body scrub reasons, although that is mainly because I am not able to get my hands on as many of their products as I would like due to my location.
Just in time for my milestone birthday this year, one of my dearest friends sent me a lovely packaging containing a mini version of Soap & Glory’s Scrub’Em and Leave ‘Em body scrub, and Endless Glove, a 2-in-1 moisture mask and hand cream (fancy!) – clearly she know me well!
I love the travel size versions of Soap & Glory products – they are so cute and just so convenient to take away on that holiday with you. It’s also a great way to try out some of their cult products without having to invest in the full size and worry about whether you’ll like it or not. After all, who likes forking out lots of money for something and then regretting it later because the product didn’t live up to your expectations?
Scrub’Em and Leave ‘Em Body Buff
After finishing up my beloved Soap & Glory Flake Away body scrub, I wasn’t sad for long as Scrub’Em and Leave ‘Em came along to add some excitement to my life.
I’ve really been enjoying using it, although I am doing so sparingly as I don’t want to run out too fast!
I love the pale pink colour of the product, and you can see the little pink scrubby bits that do their job. The scrub contains barbassu oil (which is apparently the new must have oil in your life) and sea salt, and leaves your skin feeling smooth and smelling lovely and girly. I can’t really put my finger on the scent, but it is quite nice. It isn’t my favourite of the Soap & Glory scrub scents, but it isn’t overpowering or anything. And I personally love smelling all nice and girly after stepping out of the shower. If you really don’t like your products smelling of anything or scents irritate you, this may not be for you.
Endless Glove Hand Cream
Soap & Glory do a good pun, don’t they? That is one of my favourite things about the brand. One of my posh and very well-brought up university friends back in the day thought Sexy Motherpucker was a simply horrid name for a lip gloss – but I thought it was so sassy, sexy, and just plain fabulous!
This hand cream can be used as normal (which is the way I use it) or slathered on at night, followed by cotton gloves to get some extra deep moisturising action while you get your beauty sleep.
It smells so nice! Not of any particular fruit or flower, but still nice nevertheless.
At 50ml it is on the generous side for a tube of hand cream. In comparison The Body Shop and L’Occitane hand creams come in 30ml tubes. So it might be a bit big to cart around in your handbag, but would look lovely and work well on your nightstand or your desk at work.
The packaging with both of these products is slightly retro, gorgeous and pink and girly; all that good stuff. The packaging itself is able to lift your mood if you need it, and the punny names elicit a smile every time. No wonder so many women love this gorgeous brand.
My dream is for them to start selling in Japan because I miss them so much.
It would also stop me going crazy whenever I see a Boots… Yes, that would be nice.
Either of these products would make great gifts or stocking-fillers for yourself or the women in your life.
Are you a hardcore Soap & Glory fan?
I would love to hear which products you love the most and which you’d recommend I try out the next time I come across a UK drugstore and go mad!
All love, gorgeous people!
