I hope you are all having the most amazing day today!
I’m a little embarrassed to admit that it’s only since the start of 2016 that I have started using NARS blushers. Some beauty junkie I am!
Before actually using them, I wasn’t really sure what all the fuss was about. I mean, a blush is a blush is a blush right?
My last blushers were both by the Japanese brand Maquillage, and I was quite happy having a corally colour and one more rosy/berry colour, I decided that I would go with similar colours from NARS.
After much umm-ing and ah-ing and generally driving the girls at the beauty counter crazy, I chose Orgasm, the cult classic, and Outlaw, which leans more towards rose/berry.
With these two products, you really get what you pay for – they are so worth the investment.
They have a beautiful texture, they are a dream to apply, and the colour payoff is top class, and I love the gold sheen that runs through both of them. I can’t believe I waited so long to buy them! I usually add a bit of Albatross as a highlight as well on the tops of the cheeks, cupid’s bow, and inner corner of the eyes.
I like to pair Outlaw with MAC’s Rebel on my lips, and I often wear Shu Uemura’s Mon Shu Girl lipstick with Orgasm as they complement each other nicely.
I love love love the black slightly rubberised cases, although they attract fingerprints, dust, glitter, other makeup and stuff that might be in your makeup bag, and can look less nice than when they were brand spanking new. But that is a minor con for me, especially when compared with how much I have come to love them.
If you are considering purchasing one of the NARS blushers, I would absolutely recommend heading to your nearest counter and taking a look. They are not the cheapest out there, but I do believe that they are worth it, and it is nice to have at least one high-end blusher for your makeup bag.
If you are a NARS fan, I would love to hear which shades you swear by and why.
So much love to all you beautiful people! Have a beautiful day!
