Dearest darling readers, I hope you are all having a gorgeous day full of rainbows and glitter! I have a quick Kiehl’s body lotion review on the blog for you today.
I received this cream as a present last year, which is a good thing as I feel like it’s a bit on the pricey side and would never have bought it for myself! Is anyone else like that?
I was watching a Caroline Hirons video the other day actually, and something she said about beauty products just stuck with me: “Neck and above high end, boobs and below Bob’s your uncle.” A hilarious and wonderful piece of advice methinks.
Anyway, although this cream is beyond my usual price point, my God is it beautiful. It smells divine, truly – floral but with a hefty kick of citrus from the grapefruit. It is also light, and absorbs easily into the skin, leaving it looking, feeling, and smelling scrumptious; good enough to eat. I’d recommend it to anyone.
The cap is one that you press and it dispenses the product in a controlled way, which is nice. I usually just take the cap off and get more product out by using it that way.
I really love it and would be tempted into buying it for myself occasionally, as a treat. It wouldn’t be my go to, daily cream though, because at 2,800 yen excluding tax, it just doesn’t sit well with my budget. It is just a few hundred yen more expensive than my beloved Body Shop body butters here though, so as an occasional treat it might be all right.
Speaking of the Body Shop, I definitely need to make sure I keep checking their website as they recently had 50% off their Chocomania body butters for Valentine’s Day. That means some amazing savings for Japan!
Aside from this, the only other Kiehl’s product I use is the Avocado Eye Cream which I love so much. Are you a fan of Kiehl’s products? Do you think they are worth it or overrated? I’d love to find out what you think, please let me know in the comments below!
I hope you like my nails – red for Valentine’s Day of course!
Wishing you all a fantastic week, darlings,
