This show is seriously one of the best shows out there. I wasn’t in love from episode one, but I was intrigued. And what followed was a gradual falling in love with one of the most enthralling, pulse racing, witty, funny, and well-written shows on TV.
Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for White Collar!
All right, all right, I will admit that in the first instance the only reason I even kept watching was because of Matt Bomer. Now, that man, or perhaps the man he portrays, Neal Caffrey, is perfection personified, poetry in motion, a modern adonis. To put it crudely, all I want is to lick him all over like a lollipop. There, I said it. And this isn’t just because of his beautiful face or hot body, but because of Neal’s personality. He is intelligent, witty, just enough of a bad boy, a talented artist, cultured, culinarily gifted, funny, a very dapper dresser, stylish, classy, passionate, playful, and romantic. Yes, when he’s in love he isn’t afraid to show it. All of those girls are very lucky indeed. Personally, I am a big fan of Sara and liked her best – she is sharp, funny, witty, and determined.
Matt Bomer plays his role to perfection, truly. And on a side note, before I even knew who he was, when I saw a picture of him when fans were going hysterical about the casting of Christian Grey, as soon as I saw him, I knew that he was exactly the way I wanted Christian Grey to look. Everything about him embodies the qualities our very own Mr Grey has. But I digress. So easy to do when I start thinking about that face. As Hilarie Burton once said in an interview, “He’s so perfect he’s like a prince in a Disney movie.” And I have to agree. After some sexy time in season 5 the camera pans to his feet, and even his freaking toes are perfect!
Basically, it is probably because of this man that I will end up alone with cats, because there is no one on this planet who can even come close to this guy. The writers made him so perfect it’s insane. Well, except for the part where he often lies because he is, after all or perhaps first and foremost, a criminal – a master forger who went to jail because he got caught by FBI agent Peter Burke.
This brings me to the second thing I love about the show – Neal Caffrey’s relationship with his FBI handler Peter Burke. I love the way their relationship develops over the seasons. He goes from being just a handler to someone who really cares, and he ends up being kind of like an older brother or even a father figure. I love the playful smile that crosses his face whenever he is about to tease Neal about something.
Willie Garson of Sex and the City fame is just amazing in his role as Mozzie. He is so funny. I love his character!
The other FBI agents Diana Barrigan and Clinton Jones are great too. Together they all just have great chemistry.
Tiffani Amber Thiessen does a great job as Mrs Suit as well.
I liked seasons 2 and 3 (and maybe 4) best, I think. I’m excited about season 6 because I’m curious about how Neal will get out of this one, story of the series really, but I’m also sad because it’s the last season. It is such a good show, and I can’t recommend it enough. Usually I feel like suave sophisticates like Neal would be best played by a British actor, but honestly, Matt Bomer plays him to perfection – I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I leave you now, to admire him in all his glory. If you aren’t satisfied then by all means please go Google crazy. May your dreams be full of Neal Caffrey tonight – that’s certainly what I’m hoping for!
In my head, this is exactly what Christian Grey looks like. See! Perfect!
I just like to look at him. I’m sure you won’t mind.
Even when chilling in an island paradise he oozes charm and class. Look at his perfect salt and pepper designer stubble – gorgeous.
Perfect partners? I like to think so – they complement each other and work well together. I love Neal’s smug face here.
This one is self-explanatory – Keep Calm and Love Neal Caffrey. Oh I will, don’t you worry!
