Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

When my Clarins eye cream ran out, while I really liked it, I felt that I wanted something that was good quality but a bit cheaper and perhaps a little more moisturising. After turning to Google and reading plenty of reviews on fabulous beauty blogs, I picked Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado. I know Kiehl’s do quite a few different ones, but it was the avocado part that had me sold. (I love avocados, like, a lot.)

It was my first Kiehl’s product ever, actually, and I have to say, I really like it. It has a slightly greenish tinge, which might be off putting to some, but it makes it feel more as though it’s packed with lots of avocado goodness, like you’re smearing mashed avocado under your eyes, which can only be a good thing.

A little pot lasts for a few months as you only need to use a little bit at a time since it’s so creamy – not greasy, but moisturising. I definitely use it twice a day, and now that I’ve gotten into the habit, it just doesn’t feel right if I don’t. I always make time for it (well, 99% of the time).

I haven’t had any reactions to it, and it seems to work well with my sensitive skin. I have nothing bad to say about this product at all. Perhaps the fact that it is in a pot (cute though it is) is not the most hygienic of packaging, but that’s all really. I used to use cotton buds to scoop it out, but then I felt like it was a waste and just made sure I use it after I’ve washed my hands. If you’ve just washed your face then they’ll be as germ free as they’ll ever be anyway.

In the UK the pots come in two sizes. I really wanted the bigger one, more value for money and all, but since you’re supposed to use it all up within six months I got the smaller one. I couldn’t imagine being able to use the bigger one within that time frame.

While I love being in Japan right now, I do feel that it limits my options somewhat, especially cheaper ones. If I were in the UK I would just pop into Boots or Superdrug and try out new products all the time. Someone seriously needs to make Willy Wonka’s television chocolate machine thingy a reality, but for computers and makeup.

But until that day, this Kiehl’s eye cream is all good. I’m now on my second mini tub and can’t see myself buying anything else unless I go on holiday or manage to bribe someone to bring something back for me.

I’d love to know what eye creams you swear by! Suggestions are more than welcome.

I hope you are all having a beautiful weekend my darlings.

Until next time.

Chuuu xoxo

  1. I use Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye Cream. It doesn’t seem as moisturizing as this variant and when it runs out I will road test this one! Thanks for the review 🙂

  2. I have always LOVED this eye cream by Kiehl’s—I think it’s actually the BEST one I have tried so far. I happen to love avocado a lot and I’m sometimes tempted to scoop some up and put it in my mouth, LOL! For a first time Kiehl’s user, you definitely picked up the right choice! Enjoy:)

  3. I’ve never tried any Kiehl’s products but have always wanted to! The avocado part sounds divine! =) Thanks for your review, I’ll definitely give it a try when mines run out!

  4. It looks good! It seems like avo is the new ‘it’ ingredient. I think you will find the Korean Beauty company, Skinfood, in Japan. I still use the Skinfood Black Raspberry eye cream, which comes in a pot. Love it!

  5. I love this eye cream, helped out with my eczema on my eyelids, now I need to find an eye cream that also reduces my dark circles…huuu.

  6. I think it’s great that this is moisturising, not greasy! It’s hard to find a good creamy one, that doesn’t leave your skin oily
