Autumn/Winter 2013/2014 Empties

This is my first empties post ever, and as I don’t get through stuff very quickly I have been hoarding empty containers for months! Hence the title.

First up, the Batiste Dry Shampoo. There are a lot of reviews about this in the beauty blogging world, and I have to say, it has been a lifesaver (or a hairsaver at least) on more than one occasion. There are definitely times when you come home from work during the week too exhausted to do anything but quickly scoff something as you watch you favourite TV show, and then take a quick shower before diving under your duvet to make sure you get enough sleep to wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed the next morning. By the time the next morning rolls around, however, you think, “Aaaarrrgggghh! Why did I not wash my hair last night?” Followed by a mini meltdown. You don’t have time to wash your hair now, or you’ll never get to work on time, but you dread the stares you’ll get if people notice your greasy roots. This is where Batiste Dry Shampoo jumps in and saves the day. It really does make a difference, and refreshes your roots enough that they no longer look greasy. I’m on my third can now, and I really don’t know what I would do without this emergency beauty staple.

Alberto VO5 Heat Protect Styling Spray is a nice product I spritzed on the ends of my hair before using the hairdryer. I liked it a lot, and found it to be very convenient for travel since it had a little lock button at the top to stop any leakage. I’m not entirely sure how well it worked or not, but I was quite happy to be using it, and my hair was just soft and lovely.

I also finally finished up my Clarins eye cream, which I talked about here, and my Aesop Blemish Control Gel, which I wrote about here.

Here’s hoping this week is getting off to a wonderful start for you, beautiful people!

Chuuu xoxo

  1. I have way TOO many of those days, stressing in the morning, running out to work, always forgetting to put cream on something, and always, rushing, to do my mascara while half dressed!
