The Good Wife

I’ve been a little bit naughty recently, and have become obsessed with the show The Good Wife. It has been recommended to me by so many people, but I just never thought it would be something that I would be into since legal and political dramas are not really my cup of tea. Well, it looks like I was wrong. It swept me along in spite of myself. I love the cleverly written script, I love the strong female characters, the quirky male ones, the drama that crops up can ensure you’re just the right amount of gobsmacked but is not too OTT, and that lines between right and wrong and morals, are blurred. My favourite characters are Kalinda and Diane, but I do have a soft spot for Eli – he’s just so funny, especially whenever he has to confront Becca. I’m about halfway through season 2, so I still have a lot of catching up to do, but I’m looking forward to every minute of it.

Do any of you watch the show? I’d love to hear your thoughts about it.

I also decided to be a bit geeky and try a “Which character are you?” type test, and this was my result:

I wish I could have been badass, tough, smart Kalinda, or steely determined and intelligent Diane, who becomes super cute and ditzy whenever the ballistics expert turns up, but perhaps Alicia is the better match for me – a doormat type until circumstances allow her to come out and assert her independence and worth in her own right.

Hope you all have a gorgeous weekend, darlings. As for me, I’m going to watch as many episodes of The Good Wife as I can fit into what’s left of my Sunday.

Chuuu xoxo

  1. I haven’t given this show a try, I feel like I’m way behind to catch up but I might give it a go since I think it’s on Netflix =) Thanks for the review!
