These crisps are an amazing blend of wasabi and beef – hence the name, Wasabeef. It sounds like an awful combination, but actually tastes really good; if you’re partial to wasabi, that is.

The serving size is perfect for one, and I really liked them, but the wasabi kick they delivered was a bit too intense for me after a few bites. I was rolling around on the floor with my eyes watering. If they toned it down just a little bit, I’m sure I’d be a big fan!

I also love the cute cow logo that says Wasabeef Since 2013 – I think it’s hilarious.

I’m a real sucker for a good pun or double entendre, whether it’s on my beauty products or on my food. This was the main reason for picking up these crisps, and also because I wanted to share them with you. See how much I love you guys? I even ate wasabi flavoured crisps for you, and I don’t even like wasabi. It makes my nose run, and makes me feel like I’ve been kicked in the head. Nope, I am not a big wasabi fan. But it was worth it! I hope you enjoyed it too.

How do you feel about wasabi? How about wasabi flavoured potato chips? Yea or nay?

Big love to all of you!

Chuuu xoxo

  1. These sound great, but, I love wasabi! I always use too much and it feels like my nose will explodes right off my face. Snacks in Japan look soo good 🙂 xxx

  2. Yay! I missed your snack porn!
I’m the same about puns, though I even like the terrible ones and I looove word play. : ) I feel cheated when they miss an opportunity to twist some word around and make it fun.
This sounds interesting, though I’m not a fan of wasabi – I love all things spicy, but there’s just something about wasabi, something pungent or what that’s just not my cup of tea.
Whenever I make sushi for my friends I serve it with wasabi as well, but am not a fan.
You poor baby, have to eat all these snacks to post about them ; ))

  3. Ha I like that cow as well, pretty good! I think they look delicious, but your eyes watering…I’ll have to eat them with a glass of water handy. I love reading about the cool snacks you find~ Thanks for braving them for the blog 😉
