Vogue Fashion’s Night Out – Tokyo

On September 7th, 2013, the fashionable areas of Harajuku, Omotesando, and Aoyama played host to one of the most exciting fashion events of the year – I’m sure most fashionistas have this one in their diary.

I, on the other hand, found out quite by accident. But once I knew, even wild horses couldn’t have held me back!

The FNO Ambassador for this year was Ai Tominaga. I like her a lot, and I think she’s one of the, if not the, most high profile Japanese models out there on the international scene. I have been told I resemble her, which I don’t think is true, but hey, it’s super flattering and I’ll take whatever I can get!

Deciding I needed to look appropriately glamorous for the occasion, I paired a feline flick with red lips, and off I went.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but I was so excited! It was even better than I had imagined!

Omotesando was buzzing with life and excitement, and all of the beautiful people were out walking the streets, the girls teetering precariously in sky high heels. I always wonder how more girls don’t end up in hospital with the shoes they wear.

From freebies to girls singing in store windows to a DJ party in Emporio Armani – it was absolutely fabulous.

I will let the magic of the photos tell the story. (Pic heavy)

Things started getting lively at Tokyu Plaza.

Sexy, half-naked foreign guys promoting the TV show “Arrow.” They were popular!

The beautiful FNO Ambassador, Ai Tominaga.

The Bobbi Brown Pop Up Shop proved to be super popular. I got a free bag, yay!

You can’t see Shu Uemura for the people!

But I elbowed my way in.

Rolling out the red carpet for fashionista photo opportunities.

Mini concert in the Ted Baker window.

Pop star Namie Amuro is virtually unrecognisable as a Gucci girl.

The Monki girls – pure awesomeness. They waved at me and after I waved back, one yelled out, “You are beautiful!” I was over the moon!

Who needs to go clubbing when you can go to Emporio Armani?

My loot! And my knee… oops.

Hope you enjoyed reading this post and checking out the photos!
